BoostUp.org

The Army is supporting an important Public Service campaign, and as JROTC student leaders, it would be great if you could help spread the word to your friends.

http://www.BoostUp.org is a super way to help other teens (or “friends”) know they aren’t alone as they work to make it to graduation. Check out the website and click the “Boost” button to send your friends words of encouragement, or grab the widget to place on your blog, MySpace Page, or Facebook Profile. You can also grab a “Countdown to Graduation” widget that will display a timer counting down to your own high school graduation.

Did you know that one out of every three high school students in America doesn’t graduate? This statistic is staggering, but you can help by encouraging others to do their best and stay in school. Here’s how:

• Send a boost via text message, or through the campaign website
• Become a BoostUp Student Ambassador by joining the Facebook group
• Become a fan of Boost Up on Facebook so we can keep you updated with more information.
• Grab a BoostUp badge or a “Countdown to Graduation” widget on either the Facebook Fan Page, or the MySpace page so your friends see it on your profile.
• Have Phoenix Suns’ Amare Stoudemire send your friend a wake-up call.
• Create your own 2-5 minute video to help show how BoostUp can be beneficial to your own community, as part of Adobe Youth Voices.

Thanks for your help with this important initiative. You can make a difference.
